Arrived at 8am and fished until about 5pm. Group of three fished in average of 12ft of water and landed about 30 +/- (was not keeping track).
Most were just off bottom. Caught the majority on white jigs/Cutter Bugs/ and Whatta Crickets. Seveal on the Glow Cutter Bug and a few here and there on a pink.
Although temp started off at -10 getting out of the truck, the sun came out and we never had to put up the shelter.
Had a great day. I was very impressed with the size of the majority of the fish. Awesome.
Good report happy to hear that they are still biting. OC produces some big bows glad that you got your share. How thick was the ice? Was there a lot of snow on top of the ice?
Ice was roughly 6 inches and there was very little, if any, snow on the ice. It was an easy pull with the sled. Slick in some spots and snow only in drifted areas.
Nice to hear you guys had a great time on the hard deck. Thanks for the report.
Thanks fpr the report. What part of the lake were you fishing?
Way to make them pay. I am dying to get down there. You guys are catching all the fatties. I am going to be left with the planters. Keep up the good work.
I was half asleep on the drive…and have never been there before. I couldnt tell you which way was North or South. But if you drive into the park area, boat ramp, etc and you are facing the lake…we were probably 200 yards from the boat ramp (?) loking right. I know there wasnt anyone along that edge farther from the ramp than us.
there is a house/cabin down that way and we were fairly close to it.
