Spent parts of the morning Saturday and Sunday out on Starvation for some exploritory fishing with my dad. Haven’t been there in a couple years and wanted to find some walleye if possible. Tried a couple places with no luck then headed under the bridge exploring. Ended up about a half mile or so past the bridge with only one other boat in sight. Decided to drift along a bit dragging a worm and my dad finally picked up a small perch. Decided to anchor down and wound up picking up 16 perch and 2 walleyes Saturday before being blown off the lake. We were in the spot for about three hours.
Came back Sunday, this time with my mom and sister along as well. Headed straight back to the same spot and did quite well again. In about two hours of fishing, we easily ended up picking up about 40 perch, only about 10 keepers, and about 15 walleye, only two of them going on ice. This time a storm really chased us off as we were feeling electircal shocks jumping from our rods to our arms. Interesting sensation. All in all, not a bad couple days. Overheard some guys at the cleaning station saying how slow it was, but is was enough to keep us busy. Good times.
