Hit the PV from 10am - 1pm and wanted to see the sun so we motored the 4-wheeler out to Browning Point area. Ice was 8"-10" and we’d seen some sled tracks so I felt it was safe enough where we were(Don’t know about the rest of the res though). Caught 1 keeper perch to about every 10 dinks. Ended up keeping five. All in all we caught fish but the bites were very light (as mentioned in a previous report) and most were under 4". Hope you other guys got into the nicer schools. Anybody pulling up a crappie?
Was at PV today as well…managed to salvage 12 keeper perch (biggest being 11 1/2") and 3 crappie. All and all it was a good day but boy was it cold!
I’m heading there tomorrow, taking out some newbies. Where did you fish? Any particular jigs better than another? What depths were the crappies at? Anything would help. Thx in advance!

Where did you ride your 4-wheeler onto the ice? Looks like the Port ramp would be a good spot but the lack of parking was one thing I noticed.

We got on at Port Ramp. There is about 30-40 yds plowed, enough to back a trailer off the road.

If I understand you correct, you threw perch back at Pineview? Is there a place on the 'view that the perch are shallow enough to do this?
