Pineview 7 Mar

Hit the view Saturday from the Port Ramp…no soft shorelines…snowmobiles on the ice. Ice conditions are good…no slush at all.

Ice thickness is approx 22" with at least a foot of frozen snow slush combo then the rest is the clear black ice. Walking and pulling sleds was not bad at all.

Temp on arrival was 19* departure 35*

Fished off Browning Point approx 150 yards NW of the rock pile…used the usual lures ants, moons, tipped with waxie or perch meat. Fished in about 33-37’ of water.

Not many folks at all on PV…only saw a couple folks up the Narrows, a few off Cemetary Point and a handful in the Middle Bay…some folks fishing off the Marina.

Did well for Perch…no Crappie.

Overall a very nice day on the view until the wind picked up…then we called it a day and good trip.:slight_smile:

I was also fishing off of Browning point. I ended up with 24 perch and no crappie. My day started at 3:30am over on the north side of cemetery point hoping to catch some crappie before the sun came up. I didn’t even have a bite so I left there around 9:30 and moved to Browning point. I should have started there. O well it turned out to be a good day anyway.

Looks like a nice bunch of perch. They look tasty!

Yea for us we’ve only managed to find two Crappie on the last outing…but that’s fine as them Perch are just as tasty. Browning Point has not disappointed us at all on Pineview this year. Hoping to do it again on possibly Friday and Saturday…but who knows with the weather warm-up that’s suppose to happen what the shorelines will be like.

Same here I will never pass on the perch they are very tasty.
I will be back there on Saturday as well. Maybe I’ll see there.

Where is Browning Point, I’ve never heard of it…?

Browning Point is the point that has the pump houses on it and these pump houses are easily seen from the water.
