Took my 2 oldest kids to the Berry on Sat. Tried to go to Mud Creek but the lot hasnt been plowed fully and had to back out as someone took a trailer in there and was trying to turn around on the road since there was no where to turn around at the end of the road. Went to the marina which looked like Walmarts parking lot and didnt expect much when I got to the busy area, and wasnt dissapointed. Dropped the Aqua Vu down in about 25 feet of water, didnt see any fish anywhere. Moved a few times while the kids sledded down the ramp, and didnt see anything in 3 holes. LEt the kids sled for a minute and left. Slow day, but it beat being at home.
Got there around 7:30, truck temp gauge said -13 brrrr.
Going to try again this weekend, but in a different area of the lake.
Slush was completely frozen in the morning, snow was about 6-8 inches at worst. 4 wheelers and snowmobiles all over the lake having no problems in the morning.
i always say any day fishing is better than being at home but -13 is pushing that[fishin]
