What to do

Was wanting to take the boat out this weekend, but might be jumping the gun by a week. Most of the family is out of state, so it might be a good weekend to finish shampooing the boat carpet and then making some more jerky. Anyone know how close Utah or Yuba are being ice free? Otter Creek or Piute might be too far on this stormy weekend. Thanks

:sunglasses:Had a verbal report last night that the ice was disappearing fast on the north part of Utah Lake…a couple miles out from shore at least.

Lindon Boat Harbor has been open for two weeks, with open water both north and south as far as anybody would want to fish from Lindon.

The only MAJOR consideration would be floating ice chunks. If you open up your motor you could also open up the bottom of your boat. If you do launch, keep a close watch on the water and don’t go faster than you can react if you see something.

**I am betting that by the end of next week will see the end of the ice on Utah Lake…and maybe Yuba and Willard too. **

Recent reports have already confirmed open water on Piute and Otter Creek.

Now, if Mama Nature would only get back on her meds and mellow out…

I was out on Utah out of Lindon yesterday and only saw a very small amount of ice piled up on shore. We could not see any on the water form where we were.
