starvation eyes & perch

haven’t been out in the boat for almost a month so decided to give starvation a try. We were fishing by about 8:00 am. tried bottom bouncers for a couple of hours with mild success. four eyes all about 14 inches. then we saw a mass on the sonar so threw out the marker bouy and tried to stay close to it. we were having trouble wwith the front trolling motor so had to do with the kicker, start, stop, start , stop. anyway the perch were there in abundance and as long as we had a piece of nightcrawler on a drop shot hook we caught perch. kept about 25 of the bigger ones. most were between 9 and 11 inches. fat and in good shape. I also caught the small eye on the drop shot, nice surprise. left for home about 1:00. very little wind and really a good day. glad to be out and on the water. I think if it gets as cold as they say this week end, I might have cook up a batch of perch chowder, everyone loves it.

What time’s dinner?
