TubeDude report got me in the mood to chase perch and hopefully wallys. Headed for the Gulch and started looking for a school of perch. Didn’t take more than 5 minutes to find them. School was some 15 feet thick. We caught a ton of 8" perch with a dozen going around ten and one brute that taped slightly under 15". Also caught 3 “seegar” eyes and got broke off by one massive fish. Set the hook, rod bent in half, drag started singing and the line snapped 5 seconds later. Trolled for about 1 hour in search of bigger eyes but only got another 12 incher. Fun 5 hours.
Thanks for the report, nice perch too I will be looking for perch like that on the hard deck.
