I’ll be down at Sand Hollow trying to get the bass and gills to jump on my line. If anyone is down there say hello. Anyone with any tips for this time of year I’m all ears as well. I’m in a 18.5 white and blue starcraft which is in the picture.
What ever you do, DO NOT throw any Junebug colored senkos! Especially if you wanna catch some bass [;)].
Fish from the North East corner of the damn and work your way up to the point with the big submerged boulders.
There is also a submerged island between that point and the big rock island that will be holding fish.
Depending on water temps the south east corner should be good too.

I release all bass, eat all gills, throw treble hooks in slimers for bait for N. Pike which I’m pretty sure is why they were put on this earth ha ha.
If you know how to dropshot get you some 3.5" bluegill colored Roboworms as well.
Oh ya I almost forgot, if they are in the flats throw a chrome/chartruse 1/2oz rattletrap [;)]
My email isn’t working well enought to post pics of what we have caught which is not much honestly. Water is about 52 in the morning and got up to 56 yesterday on my finder which is new so could be off. 75 degrees yesterday afternoon. What I have caught has been in about 20 ft of water. I’ve had a rough two days of fishing. I’ve been here for a lot longer but have been working. I should get out at least a couple more days before I have to go back up to the frozen North ha ha. I guess I’m not much of a finesse bass fisherman. I’ve drop shotted, texas rigged, jigged, if I had dynamite I’d consider using that. High point of the trip was a bass we rescued floating with a gill lodged in it’s mouth into his gills. Had a heck of a time getting that blue gill out of his mouth. After I did I rocked him a few times in the water and he took off like he was thankful. Two days fishing totaled 3 fish caught the first day, one fish caught the second day. Biggest was guestimated at about 2.5 lbs. Disapointing as I had an 8 yr old on the boat who I really wanted to put on the fish. Either way, he enjoyed driving the boat around from spot to spot. Anyone with any last remaining secrets about sand hollow offer away. Others seem to be doing much better then I am. A lot of other boats on the water are doing exactly as I am though.
