I"m heading down to St. George later this week, and I’m wondering if it would be worth it to try fishing at Sand Hollow or Quail Creek this time of year. I checked the BFT archives, and the previous posts about Sand Hollow and Quail Creek were old (2004, 2006) and written in March, April, and November. What about the first week in February? Is it too early, or is the fishing good then? If so, can I just fish from shore, or do I need to take my float tube?
You can still catch bass at those waters but it would be very slow. Right now most people are targeting trout in Quail.
Thanks! That helps me make my decision.
