Safe ice anywhere?

Hey I was planning on doing a little ice fishing this weekend but it sounds like I might be out of luck because most lakes you need a plank that has at least 5’ on it..

I was just wondering if any of you guys know of anywhere that has safe ice and doesn’t really need a plank to get on and off?

The higher elevation reservoirs, such as Strawberry, Scofield, Huntington, Fish Lake, Electric Lake, and Currant Creek (to name a few) should be fine.

Im Headed to the Rock tomorrow.. Last I heard ice was still safe and egdes were still good.. Ill post tomorrow evening..

Lost creek had good ice and edges Wednesday.Fishing was a little slow close to the dam though.

lets hear a good perch report in the shallows again.. if thats what you might try for. gonna try this weekend

Anyone been to East Canyon recently? Wondering how the ice and fishing is. May try going this weekend depending. Thanks.

Any day is a good day for fishing, dont know what the ice thickness is but I know its worth checking. [fishin]

Fished strawberry today at the ladders and there is 12 inches of ice every where I drilled.
There is a half inch of crusted snow on top of 3 inches of slush, so don’t take the 4wheelers unless you like digging.

Would like to see your report as a few of us are planning on heading up there Sat.[fishin]

East Canyon last weekend all good, about 13in think

We fished the rock today.. plenty of safe ice.. 2’ thick on the south end.. I put my snowmachine on at the marina.. not much catching going on..
