Retired few weekends

I rarely fish weekends anymore, have a tough enough time competing with the power boys on the weekdays. Went back to DC again yesterday (Friday). Out early, at the launch in the dark at 0600. Went to the same place I found them on Wednesday, but the fish had moved and when I found them, they were not too cooperative. I did get some rainbows and a 12" perch, biggest perch I’ve found at DC. Saw Robert and his crew there as well. Surface temp was 67* and wind was light except for about an hour when I thought it might end things early. It laid down and turned out nice. Not a bad trip but better if the walleye had cooperated.

I’m heading up next week Friday with my grandson. Mostly jigging for SMB and Perch but will take anything that wants to play. What ramp are you launching from.

I launch from the main ramp, especially since I live in Provo. With the water so low the Island ramp is very flat so you have to back the truck way out into the water past the door to launch. Since I am launching alone i would have to step out into knee deep water. If you decide to use the island ramp, check before, it may not be in the water much longer. It’s a longer boat ride to where I fish from the main ramp, but I don’t like being wet.
