I might be able to get away for a little fishing saturday morning and i am thinking DC.Anyone been there lately ? Are the boat docks on the water? How has the fishing been? I am hoping the docks are out it will make it easier for me to load and unload the boat i am having problems with my back again.[frown] If the docks are not out it will be a definite no go for me unless someone wants to tag along and help me with the boat and do some fishing. That was a hint open invite for one from 7ish to about noon.
I will be doing some tubing at DC at 7am with a friend and we are going to stay to about noon. We would love to help you launch so if that will help let me know.

7am and we are going to launch from wallsburg bay area close to park and ride. Good luck and say hello we will problaby be the only tubers out.
The docks are out. I reccomend launching at the main park not at the island it is much easier. Fishing has been slow. Hopefully it will pick up tomorrow for you. I will be looking forward to your report.
I just read your coment I would love to hook up with you the next time you go out I am getting my fishing licsens this week end and have back problems to just had surgery a month ago but I’m not going to let it stop me from having some fun. I’ve fished it a few times this year, it’s been really slow. At least for bass and walleye, bunches of rainbows though. They seemed shallow for the most part. Fly fishermen would do well for rainbows I would think. We trolled most of the time and hooked into a coulple of fat pre-spawn rainbows and that was abou t it
I just got back and we caught rainbows and that was it!! My son caught 2 one a 22" and a 21" bow!! I was trolling big lures hoping either a walleye or big brown would take them but the bows were out to play today.
ha ah i warned ya, wel maybe a little too late… anyway sounds like you found some bigger ones and had some fun
Oh well 2 nice bows is better than nothing .Both got released i was looking forward to a walleye fry tonite but i guess maybe next time. It was a nice day not cold not hot and their was just a slight breeze .I waited for the big “W” to show up like it usually does at DC about 1130ish but it never came. I did hook up with 2 bottom dwellers deep both got off half way up they felt heavy and did not fight hard .Guess i will never know what they were.[frown]
