DC quick run

Yes sir,  there were a few  boats going in and out but no problems.  Water was surprisingly high so access was very easy.

My wife’s older sister and her husband were camping at DC this weekend with a couple of their kids and grandkids so we dragged the toon up for a few hours of fishing Sunday morning. Wife and I got on the lake about 8:30 and tried to bottom bounce some waldos on the north end while the campers dragged themselves out of bed. Did this for an hour with nary a bite to be had.

Once the sleeper crew got up, we picked some of them up on the dock and went back out for a few hours dragging trout gear. It was surprisingly slower than we expected and we only landed 3, but lost 3 more boatside.

The goal was to get a few fish for the little guy and we let him reel 2 of the 3 fish so he was pleased. Doesnt take much to make a kid happy. The sun came out and it was warm and pleasant until the usual winds picked up around 12ish and chased us off the lake. May be a minute before we go again with the cold temps coming back. Surprisingly there was one hardy soul already wakeboarding. no thanks.

Thanks for the report and pics. Glad you guys were able to get out and catch a few, too bad it was so slow but it looks like it was a great day. Did you launch from the main ramp?
