I really didn’t want to tell you,but since you brought it up I had a lot better luck with my old Trophy. Its never been solid for me yet.I had it in the shop twice (1600.00)and dropped it off there today for some more work this time it could be a lot,man I hope not.You picked a good time to sell it .I’m sure you didn’t know it had problems you was a real nice guy, I’m not wining. Its a great boat for what I use it for.I love the room and what it has to offer towards fishing.
When I was getting worked over by you on the price.lol.You pulled your Gps out and showed it to me I think you got it out of your motor home maybe you put it back there.I bought me a Lorance dhs 335 color unit.I’m not sold totally on it yet its got more sh-t on it than I’ll ever use.I loved my old simple x70.One thing good is the transducer up front that you had on it works with this unit.
Tuesday I talked with a couple of real nice guy over at the Villa when we was stuffing our faces. They was ice fishing in Anvil. That surprized me because there was a lot more ice last time I was up.Hell dude if I see you at the lake I’ll open my box and let you pick one out.Or maybe while your under the boat you could hook my line on that 40lber I been hunting for.
sorry you have had some proplems. i never had any in the years i owned her. other than replacing the starter, when i had her tooned in the spring the boat dude went over everything i used her all summmer without a hiccup.so what is the problem o ya i had the boat dude put a new impeelar but i told ya about that.i had my gps after you took the boat i think i lost it out duck hunting.
Love the quote by Winston Churchhill.I’d like to here more about the spoons you use and how you use them.Whats a spoon? The only spoon I use is to feed my face. Please go into detail I’m very interested. Thanks
Did you say starter.I’ve replaced that once and its giving me trouble again.First time out after replacing it.Thats the least of my problems. The biggest problem up till now was the charging system.I replaced the regulator and fly wheel .Ouch they was proud of that stuff. Two batteries that wasn’t to bad or uncommon. Now I’m shaking in my boots while holding my hand on my ass right next to my wallet. The big motor thats never right on cold days is making some rather large clanging noise.I’m no boat mechanic but it sound expensive.I also think the carbs need rebuilt. The cold weathers a real test on your equipment.A couple of more bugs and I should be home free. The bow motor and the troll motor are great. When I bought the boat from you i knew it wasn’t new its all good …I thinkkkk.Man I miss my old boat.
Dude that was funny. No real funny.[sly]Nice one did you come up with that one all by yourself.I think you did, not everyone can appreciate a good head joke.Your one a head.
I hope the boat doesn’t cost you too much. I sent you a PM earlier about how you were doing up there, that was obviously before I saw this post. I wish I had a place to store my boat at my house. It’s in storage and a pain to get too. I’m going to get it out about the middle of March I think, hopefully it doesn’t develop any problems like you are experiencing.
I don’t think you will.knock on wood.I’ve had really good luck with boats over the years. They last a lot longer than cars. I say because they don’t get used as much.If someone takes good care of a boat they last for years.I’ve seen some quite old boats (70’s-80’s) at the Gorge and they was in super condition going strong.I’d love to own some of them.Wish you the best hope you get a lot out of your boat.
I’ve heard your a super game fish hunter.I’m looking very forward to spending some time at the lake with you.
Rapalas don’t discriminate they catch all types of fish
If I were back home I could guaranteed put you on some Northerns and some Eye’s. Here it’s a lot different. Structure is almost non existant in most resevoirs and they are super deep which creates a whole new way of fishing. I’m basically going to be throwing my tackle box at these resevoirs until I figure them all out. With this new GPS/Fishfinder I bought should help me a lot. What I can offer is any nuggets on what works back home which I’ll do any time.
Hello my friend,
I stay at the Flaming Gorge motel. Its not a bad little room and its only $40.00.It across the street from the Chevron in manila. When you get up there you call the # on the motel and give them your card # and they give you a key code. Its an unmanned hotel.Kind of neat.
I never fished for bass up there but I’ve been told theirs quite a few!!!
If you catch and release.Send me a p.m. and I’d be glad too.The three bigger fish all ate the same one on this trip. You can’t buy them around here so give yourself a couple of days for a mail order.
Sounds like an EPIC trip! Sorry to hear about the boat problems it sucks to have those unexpected expenses come up. I am hopefully on your and Christopher30’s list this year for a mac trip since I am clueless on how to catch them biggest one (6lbs). Tell me when and I will gladly split expenses and would love to learn more! Thanks for the pics they just are making me have even more cabin fever now…
