Quick limit of kokes yesterday. Lines in the water a little before 7am done by 8. 35-40ft. All kinda small 15” or less. Usually I’m getting mostly 16”+ in July so something is off this year. Hope it’s not the new normal. One other boat with two guys was hauling them in too. Moved inside the buoys and trolled crank baits for a while to see if there were any rare wipers around. Only caught perch and smallies.
Way to get after them, you got to love it when a plan comes together, even if they are smaller. IMO, with the amount of people fishing for the kokes there, it’s not surprising the size is getting smaller. Now that Strawberry is getting better, maybe that will take some of the heat off of the Nelle. What color was working best for you?
Big brass dodger and a chartreuse/orange hoochie has been catching all my fish for the last several trips. Both at Jordy and SB.
I actually haven’t seen many others Koke fishing up in the Provo arm. Not like a couple years ago when it seemed like everybody abandoned SB for Jordy. But I don’t go on weekends.
