I have been wanting to hit one if my favorite places to see how the kokes were doing. I took my Dad and my daughter-in-law. Launched around 7 am to a cool 38 degrees. Lake is low, mid summer low, with a some of the big point already exposed. We only made it about 100 yards from the launch and we were into fish. 1st 2 were bows on the surface but then the koke rods started going off. We caught a LOT of kokes today, but the size was not what I was hoping for. Most were between 11-13 inches. We moved around hoping to find a bigger age class, but never did. So we kept 3 limits of those kokes and we were done by 9:30 am. We caught them from 20-45 ft deep. We didn’t catch any by the dam, but the launch arm and the north arm, up in there a ways, were really good. We had a couple of times where 3 of the 4 rods were in the boat getting re-baited and re-set. All colors worked, pink, green, orange. We threw back quite a few as well, including some 6-7 inchers. We also caught quite a few small Cutts, but only one in the slot about 16", all the rest in the 8-11 inch range.

One of my favorite local koke waters as well. When I get them that size, the end up in the smoker and come out as kokanee kandy. I ate my very last one form last year for lunch today. I need to get up there next week.
