Don’t waste your time. I fished for 5 hours and caught 2 perch that were small enough to fit in my waxworm container. I fished from 50’+ up to 7’ and it was the same story everywhere. The perch are too small to hook. I ended up using a Gill Pill to get those 2. Ice is around 9" and pretty solid. There have been bikes on it recently. No slush and solid edges. I fished out from the ramp.[frown]

I agree with you. I fished up there sunday and never even graphed a rainbow. Lots of little perch on the bottom but no takers. Fished for about 4 hours.
That’s a funny lake, Brody. For some reason it’s been slow there this year (almost every lake has been slow come to think about it).
A couple weeks ago I did catch some nice fat 10" perch out of Hyrum. Had to search for the buggers but once I found the spot it was fast action for a while before suddenly dropping off again. I haven’t iced any trout out of there yet though.
Don’t feel bad! I used to fish Hyrum so much I never dreamed it could be like this…what happened?..I once thought I knew that lake like the back of my hand. I only fished it once this year for 3 hours and walked back with skunk odor radiating off me!
