I have never done very good ice fishing the berry in the past(lack of skill and know how). hit the deck at about 6:30, 35ft east of the marina out from the point. dropped in and it was on!! Iced 14 and missed double that(skill problem again) 2 break offs.
in the morning they were usually between 15 and 30 feet, by 9:30 it slowed a bit and were at the bottom, so low the Showdown could’t see them unless i zoomed in. noon was real slow and they moved shallow to the point of hitting my transducer. worked that one for five minutes and missed him three times. how does that work when your watching through the hole?
Anyway it was a great day of relaxing on the ice.
