Daughter and I heading for a fishing trip tomorrow. Unfortunately can’t go far, she has a school thing in the morning, or we’d hit Starvation and see how they’re doing there. Not sure if we’ll try Rockport or Deer Creek, but hoping the weather will hold for us…
It’s one of the last trips we’ll be taking together here. We’re moving out of state, and she’s heading off to college this fall. Bittersweet.
Won’t be fishing Utah much longer so I wish all of you the best. Wish I could have met some of you.

Went to Diamond Fork. I caught two browns, one dink and one decent, and daughter caught one. Weather was nice, a couple spits of rain but not the 30 mph winds or heavy rain or snow they were calling for.
We’re heading to the lower Midwest, so not too many more chances for slimers out there. Gotta practice my bassin’ though [:)]
Sorry to hear it, but hopefully good moves for you and your family. Where to? There’s still gonna be fish there -right? Welp - the board’ll still be here.
Have enjoyed your posts and stories. Would’ve enjoyed running out to starvation with ya - you could’ve showed me how to find them perch-schools!

Sorry to hear you are leaving. Have enjoyed your contribution to the forum. There is always a place to fish. Might change techniques, targeted species and equipment but therre is always a fish. Thanks Yote. I’ll definitely be checkin’ in on the Utah boards periodically. I already checked the boards for the region we’re moving to and…nothing. It’ll suck to not have an active forum, but I’ll still fish whether there are awesome folks like we have here, who are willing to share and give insight, or not.

Thanks fish_fear_me2! I’ll definitely have to practice my bassin’. I pulled up the fishing proclamation and apparently there are two streams anywhere near where I’ll be living that have trout, and there are boatloads of restrictions, understandably. They only have browns and bows, too–no cutts, brooks, etc. But I’ll be going after the bass, bream, crappie, walleye, gar…and something called a “paddlefish” that has a nose like a long spoon.
