Anybody been to fish lake lately? I’m heading down again on Friday and hoping the fishing is still good. Here’s a picture from our last trip

Headed down there myself on Monday and can’t wait.
We pulled into the first parking lot there at fish lake about 1:30 pm on Friday. We were the only people on the whole lake as far as we could see. After doing a little moving around we settled on the edge of the weed bed in 17 feet of water. There were four of us fishing. Me and another guy caught aprox 30 fish each. The other two guys got 5 each. I’m not sure what the difference was because they were within 15 feet of each of us. We caught perch, splake, and rainbows. Perch ranged from 4" - about 9" with the majority of them being larger fish. The splake ranged from 8" - 17" with most of them being larger as well. The rainbows were 12 - 18" with only 1 at the large end. The ice/snow layers were still nearly 2 feet thick, but pretty soft to drill through with the power auger. We did take the four wheeler and didn’t have any trouble getting around with it. There was one spot out on the ice that the top was pretty slushy but other spots were still very firm. For bait I used a small ice ant jig tipped with wax worms, tipped with perch meat (most effective) and tipped with perch meat and a salmon egg. All of those caught fish for me.
