I took the kids up to Echo yesterday. We fished from 12:30 till 5:00, just south of the marina, in 35 feet of water. Plenty of ice. I caught 9 small perch on rat finkies with power maggots and waxworms. Missed a lot of bites. The kids didn’t catch anything but had a good time. I didn’t see anybody really knocking them dead, but it seemed like most people were catching something. Only saw 1 trout caught.

I was also up at Echo on the 19th. We fish out a little bit futher than anyone else. We caught alot of perch a few were 10 inches and one was a real fatty. I pulled one nice trout of the hole, he hit a white what a cricket. Had another one hit a jighead just under the ice, watched him hit it and hooked him but I had too much line out and lost him. All in all a good day, had to sunblock the kids. It was great to see the sun.
