Decided to give Echo a try. Left slc at 8 and was making great time until traffic came to a stop due to an accident. After waiting 30 min the traffic started moving again. Arrived at Echo to find lots of people. Parked near the boat ramp and headed out away from the crowds. My friend decided to fish for perch on the bottom and I went for trout suspended 10 to 15 feet below. I managed to catch a nice 15" but skinny whitefish. My friend landed 10 perch of various sizes. All in all a great day. The drive home was uneventful except for the awesome sunset.
Was that the wreck near Toll Gate exit? That happened right in front of us. There were several people already stopped so we moved on.
I think so. It looked like the accident was near the bridge they are working on in the canyon.
Sounds like you had fun! We were there as well, and decided to get away from the crowds. That seems to be the ticket! Going again anytime soon?
I don’t know when i will hit Echo again. I never seem to decided untill the day before.
