hit east canyon today to take a buddy out that doesn’t fish much, we ended up boating around 30 identical trout that were 14" long, never caught anything different, but the bite was fantastic and got my buddy into some fish, good place to hit if you don’t mind catching small trout for the dinner table there are plenty of them. all fish were caught on sling blades trailed by various lures trolling around 30’down, green cripplure caught em 5to1.
Thats a decent report, good for you, getting your friend onto some fish. Did you notice the water temp? WH2
Curt, i took the family up on friday and the temp was near 71*.
Trophyboat: We had similar results and it was fun letting the family reel in all the slimers. We used dodgers(half black, half orange, and a hyper-plaid) trailed by chartreuse and pink wedding rings tipped with worms down 26’. Fun fishing for smaller trout.![]()
72 degrees surface when we got off the water around noon,
