Going to east canyon this weekend and was wondering two things: (1) hows the ice and (2) has anyone done any good? If so what were you using?
The ice is good, about 8" at Taylor Hollow. On Thursday the fish were suspended from 10 to 20 feet and were hitting chartreuse jigs tipped with a nightcrawler.
so are there snow mobiles running all over the lake ?? sounds like the ice seems to be thick enough..

I got off the ice today at 1 PM. I was 1 bay up from the dam. The fishing was a bit slow. We (2 of us) missed five bites and landed 7 fish. they were all little bows, there was nothing over 12". They fish were suspended in 14’ of water and I guess the water was about 50’ deep. The fish were hitting white / glow and pink jigs tipped with night crawlers and waxies. I was having better luck dead sticking. Thanks to the guys with the flasher that told me the depth they were seeing fish. I know we would have done better with a fish finder.
