Gonna hit east canyon on saturday and was just wondering how the ice is and how the fishing is?
Fishing has been good when you are over schools of fish. We fished deep water, 50’, and put our jigs down from 20’ to 30’ to catch the cruisers coming through. Action was steady and a lot of fun.
~9" of good ice. This cold spell should have frozen up what little water was standing in some areas.
got skunked last sunday but alot of people were doing well.
We hit it monday and they hit pretty well all day, the longest we went was 30 min. without a bite. orange ice cutter tipped with power bait 25’-30’

thanks for the info ya’ll. we are taking a young kid out with us and it’ll be his first time ice fishing. kinda make it a good time for him.
