Deer Creek Perch

For the last 10 years or so I have only trolled for trout, But this year I would really like to try to catch some perch. I live close to deer creek so that is were I like to go. I have a boat and fish finders and everything I just dont were to go on the lake or what to use, best time of day, depth etc. thanks for any help..

ido well in early may ffor perch there on the flats north of the island in like 3 to 10 feet of water on small tube jigs tipped witha crawler. an occasional LMB or SMB will hit aswell.

As the water warms up they will move up into the brush all along the east side of the lake. I’ve done well from the bridge down to the first big point of willows just south of the Charlston boat ramp.

Small jigs tipped with worm or just a worm and bobber both work well.

I also live in just up from the lake. When I start picking them up I will let you know.

Great info thanks guys>>..
