I’m making my first ever trip to DC in the AM. I’ve read all the recent posts and everything I could find with a search but any last-minute advice is appreciated. I’d like to get into some perch but it sounds like that’s not as likely as it was in years past. Anyways, thanks in advance for any tips on location or what to use.
We got to Deer Creek about 1:30 this afternoon and fished south of the Island. After trying a couple different spots we found some Perch. 45 feet of water was what we were at. We fished about 2 hours and between 4 of us we got about 15 perch 7 Bows and 1 Brown. We were fishing inches off the bottom with waxies, and had pink and white tube jigs about 20 feet down. It was a good time.

if your going to the island you might want a plank had a couple friends walkin back to the boat ramp fell through right on the edge the rain and warmth softened up the edges be safe
