I will be out there saturday morning doing the same .Got to get the boat out and get the kinks out now before the fishing really gets good. [;)] Drift fish start deep and work your way shallow and keep an eye on your fish finder they can be anywhere this time of year.

check the rocky pionts start deep and move in.. walleye point and the rocky points in the nearows is a good place to start.. then the deeper water off the tamarack’s all around the lake can be good as well.. once ya find them they will be in the area all day.. just a matter of finding what they want.. [crazy] jig’s tipped with perch? maybe! lol [sly]

True but if I am throwing lures the same size as the perch I wont catch any of the pesky little buggers!
Those pesky perch will find a way to eat your big lures .But at least you will catch the bigger ones.
Going to try Yuba this weekend and get the cobwebs off the boat. Any advice for perch or what area to try. Thanks
