Well me and the fam went to yuba today to try out the new boat. We fished all day with not so much as a nibble. We did see one guy at the dock with a nice rainbow. They had fished all day with no luck except that bow he nailed about 10 minutes before they left. I talked to a few other anglers and no luck with anybody I talked too. Anyway it was great to get out on the water for the first time this year. Oh ya we tryed just about everything for those of you wondering.
Yeah the water is still a little cold for too much to go on in Yuba just quite yet. If we get another few days like today it’ll be great!
hum i have allways did real well at yuba this time of year.. if i was home i would be making some run’s there.. what areas did you try? i have not cought fish this time of year in deep water.. most the fish even the walleye are in ether pre-spown or post spown right now.. so that will mean they will be in shalow water near cover or graval bed’s… the perch will be in the south bay and the tamarack stick up’s around the lake.. try them ares to find the fish..
I agree with Fuzzy, this is the time of the year we have caught some of our biggest fish
I’m headed down there tomorrow morning hope things pickup. later chuck
I’m sure you will find some fish to play. We fished Deer Creek Saturday and Nancy lost a big Eye. We did catch alot of Rainbows and a few small Eyes
Thanks for the info fuzzy. We fished allover the lake. Shallow and deep. We tryed the rocks and the gravel spots. I even went into the sevier bridge part of the lake. But like I said I just think it was a bad day. Every body I talke to said the same thing. I hope to do better next weekend.
