Does anyone have any reports on the walleye fishing at Yuba? A pal and I fished about 8 hours Friday without single eye for our efforts.
I fished Yuba on Wednesday for about five hours in the morning. I caught 8 perch and two carp on jigs. There were more people than I expected for a weekday. The couple of people that stopped to talk as I was anchored up hadn’t caught a thing.
You probably saw some guys who were pre-fishing that walleye trmt this wkend. Anxious for the results. Got a few buddies fishing it.
It will be slow for awhile with the runoff. Fished 2 weeks in a row and slow. At least the Perch are starting ti bite.
i was down last sunday. saw around 35 caught. only 1 myself.[:/] i wana see how the turny went as well. should have been better this week with temps and stable weather.
I fished from noon untill dark with only a handfull of perch and a carp. no walleye’s in sight. We tried diffrent cranks, worm harnesses, speed and depth no luck. That makes two years in a row I fell for what reece stein said.
A good friend of mine is fishing it also. I hope he did good. I think he won the last one.
I heard a report second hand that the winning team boated 6, second place team boated 3, and 8 out of the 14 teams did not boat a fish. Don’t quote me on this, but it came from a good source.
