Caught this big ole carp fishing for Pike at Yuba on Saturday. It was a real fun fight caught it on a pike lure. My biggest carp to date. We also caught 15 northerns was a great day.
Sounds like you guys did awesome! I went up there for my first time just the day before and only managed 1 small pike.

Yes the pike gods were good to us but we did lose about 40 dollars worth of lures to them. This is my 2nd year fishing for them and I started out the same skunks is all we got. We have learned the ways and the where abouts to catch them now. I caught them on everything after a few lures down I had to start throwing a lure my buddy said his dad had for a long time. I will try to find a pic of it and show you what im talking about I called it the big ugly. It caught the last 4 pike.
Just curious, are the pike still somewhat shallow? I still want to get one on a fly rod. I have only been down there once this year and want to go again.
Yes we caught them shallow to 12’

I did go last Sunday but it was more of a picnic but I did fish a little and boated 1 small pike in a half hour. I think it would be worth it, im hopping to get down their this weekend.
