I was thinking that the weather/wind had probably opened up Yuba a bit. So, I sent an email to Jeff Rasmussen, manager at Yuba. Here is his reply:
The west side off of I-15 is completely ice free. The ramp is open and ready to use. Painted Rocks was still 95% ice covered when I left today at 4.

I was just gonna ask if the Ice is still good at Yuba…I’ll take this as a Noway Jose’. Now I gotta find something else to do Saturday with the missus.
If you need to score some romance points you could always take her down a night…to watch the submarine races.
Hint…leave the fishing tackle home.
