Anybody know the latest ice conditions at Yuba? Are we good to go get a few nice perch?

Boy, I don’t know. The north end (dam end) just froze the first part of this week.
The south end, I don’t know whether its fishable or not. Haven’t been out on the ice at all to test thickness.
Right now its 40 degrees and the wind is howling. I’d bet it’s melting ice, not putting it on. I’d wonder if you could fish it or not, my bet is not.
I was wondering the same thing here is the yubas #435-758-2611. They can give you a report on the conditions there. I think that painted rocks will have some ice by now.
some one posted he walked out at painted on his way home. drilled some holes 4 inches. not sure what post he replied to. that was 2 or 3 days ago. Yuba Ice here is link to post.
It was I who posted about walking on painted rocks. We went and fished it the morning of the 24th and got skunked. We only marked a couple of fish on the fishfinder. We walked around a little bit and drilled several holes. 4-5" of ice at every hole between the boat ramp and island at painted rocks.
