The Tide Change out of Long Beach Sport Fishing Berth 55 fished San Clemente island on Sat. 1-25-03 for wide open calico bass fishing as well as a few yellows. They took 20 scoops of squid that they caught Thursday night off Huntington and it really paid off. 14 Anglers to 125 calico as well as 3 nice yellows. The yellow tail ranged from 18-25 lbs. with many more hooked than boated. The calico bass range from 1.5-7 lbs. and were all very healthy fish. The Tide Change leaves every Friday and Saturday night at 9 p.m. heading to the island. Call the landing for reservations and more details at (562) 432-8993.
