hit utah lake sunday afternoon the blue gill were hitting ok untill we fell through the ice against the pumphouse wall took about ten minutes to get out pretty scary.

thanks we new it was thin by the wall i got a bite slipped forward went through son in law tryed to pull me out then it broke under him we paddled like ducks for a while tell he got out then pulled me out.
Scary stuff man!!! I think the Pumphouse is pretty much done until we get some cold (if we do). It has so many holes in it and one or two that are 24" wide…not good. The temps are not helping much and the last few times I have been there the fishing has been better everywhere else you can go on Utah Lake. Glad you guys are ok, and its a good warning to others as well.

zI figured it would take someone falling through for people not to keep fishing there. That ice was iffy like two weeks ago. Glad they are ok, but seriously not worth dying just to catch some dinky panfish.
Glad you are ok to I bet it had something to do with them opening the pumps and letting watter down the jordan. Why this early in the year they did that I do not know.
I was gonna say the same thing. I bet that pumphouse running now had a big thing to do with it. cmon guys (all fisherman) I dont wanna see a ripp post. its getting warmer and warmer every day. if you must go dont go alone. Keep your space with friends and other fisherman and just think. no fish is worth death.
