Anybody been over there? Hows the ice?
Yes, fished it early on witht he first big freeze than it thawed. But ws there for about 2 hours and caught 21 and lost that many. A log of people were catching white bass early one. When I was their two weeks ago the ice was a solid 6 inches. There are still people fishing it, but I understand it is slow right now.
I fished the pumphouse area from 1:30to 5pm Saturday the 22nd. I tried about 15 holes (the ice was swiss cheese) at a few different depths and didnt manage a single bite, i tryed deadsticking and fast jigging and everything in between. this was my first ice trip to utah lake and first skunk of the ice season, either it has slowed way down or i was doing something horribly wrong. ice was 8-12".
