Utah Hunting Board????

:sunglasses:**Utah has the best BFT fishing board…hands down. But, it is evident that a lot of our fishermen are also hunters and gunaholics. **

I haven’t approached BFT administration yet, but I am sure we could get a hunting board as one of our “sub boards” if we had enough support. I can’t help believe that it would be at least as active as a fly fishing board.

I’m thinking that “Hunting and Guns” or “Hunting & Shooting” would be good titles.

Let me know what you think, and also put in your nominations for moderators. We could even have two or three co-mods. That has proven to be a good program for specialty boards.

I think its a great idea. I like the “Hunting and Shooting” title. Throw my name in the hat for mod or co-mod position.

I like it. Look how much hunting talk goes on on the off topic board. To keep it in our fishing theme just call it the KAST an BLAST page.

I think that is another great idea you’ve come up with. I also agree that given the number of people we have on the Utah board that are multi-outdoors taskers it would could be another good active board here on BFT’s growing website.

P.S. I could also support the idea of Bearclaw as one of the potential moderators for that board. Of course, I realize that is a decision for someone else to make.

I also like the idea. I, Like Bearclaw would like to be considered for a position as a moderator for that board or co-Mod.

Time to sit down and get put in for all of my hunting permits anyhow. WOW there goes the savings acct.

I would participate. The whole reason I like this fishing board is because it is local.
I currently follow a few other hunting boards but they are national and most are geographically centered around the eastern united states (mostly Whitetails, etc.).

I hunt pheasants, deer, elk and lopes when not fishing, and I reload also, both rifle and shotgun.
I would definitely be all in for a local hunting/firearms/reloading type board.

IVE WANTED A UTAH HUNTING BOARD FOR A WHILE. ALWAYS WONDERD WHY IT WAS A GENRAL BOARD. ILL PUT MY NAME IN FOR MOD OR CO MOD AS WELL. HECK THE ONLY REASON I FISH IS BECAUSE I CAN HUNT YR ROUND.

New to the site and love it. The fishing info is great (though I’ve had no time to put any of it into practice)

I would love to see a hunting board also…

There already is a hunting board run by the same group that runs BFT. Granted, it’s not BFT but that’s not a big deal. Here’s the link. It’s also on the right side of the screen also.

Add me to the “yea’s”. I think a Utah Hunting board is a great idea. I don’t want to go visit another board. There’s only so many hours in the workday i can pilfer away on BFT. :smiley:

I think it is a great idea as well. However, I think it should remain an idea until at least February 16th when the draw closes. I have a lot of points for several hunts and I would hate to see any increase in applications. I hope this will be my year. [:)]
