me and a freind hit the harbor around 2 today and fished until 430 no white bass but we found some gills and i got one l/m bass around 12"
How thick was the ice?
Thanks for the update. I’m going to try it there in the next couple of days. That’s disappointing the whities aren’t biting, there must be some there. Since I live nearby I will probably take a drive down there and have a look around. Nice going on the LM bass.
I rode down there an hour ago just to test the ice for a ice trip with my g_kids possibly Monday. I found 4-5 solid inches off the end of the first docks.
yep about 4" of ice but a spot i ran into around the tires was very thin. my friends foot went right through, no fish their enyways so skip that spot. the rest of the harbor was good ice. their was 6 or 7 other people out their and no white bass were caught. they will come in some time but who knows when. the l/m and gills were caught on a small ice fly tipped with a waxie all released.
I fished Lindon for an hour Tuesday, 3-4pm, caught three white bass- all pretty small. I hit it again yesterday from 1-3pm, one small white bass. The ice is four to five inches thick. They should be moving in soon.
