Update on BFT

That’s very good news. Thanks to all involved to save this sight.

Awesome!

As curiosity always steps up, how much of the new site will be brought in? Will it be just Utah?   :-/

From earlier posts, I believe it will be just Utah. The real issue will be retention of users and passwords, IMO. From my experience with other boards that migrated servers and software, that can be very tricky.

We all had to create new identities when this board changed the last time, if you remember. That’s how I came to be rockyraab2.

I just got an update, the new system will send out notices to all members that are active, informing them that they can follow a link to set up a new password, when the new site comes on-line. When that happens and the new site will not have a problem with the email notices that the old site had issues with, so you should get the email notice. Still no word when tihs will happen, so I guess we will take a wait a see attitude.

IIRC, I couldn’t get to them for a new password last time. At least that’s how it seems now.

Here’s hoping.

I really enjoy BFT, the reports, stories and photos. Thanks to all who are working to keep a good thing going!

Here’s hoping a lot of us will still be considered ‘active members’, and get the notice you mentioned…in the mean time…glad this site is still up, and hoping the transition works for all us fishy people…

Hopefully, that is the case. Thank you for keeping us up to date.

I found out that I don’t have a problem getting on the site when using my cell phone. Also, try giving a different browser a try, that seems to help as well. I recently found out the problem of getting on the site has to do with the cookies the site uses to know who you are. So I deleted the cookies and it works now. Just some more suggestion to try.
