Well a strange thing happened on saturday, my fiance actually wanted to go with me, so i jumped right on it
We took the boat out around 5 and got in about an hour and a half on the lake. Got into a good school, i caught 13 and she pulled in 3. I’m still teaching her a little about lures, and sweepsets but i think she did really well, and the whites were really agressive. As “bigfishtaco” can attest I was reeling in a White Bass on each cast. Not sure what everyone else has been doing but i have been doing pretty well. We rolled back into shore at dark and saw alot of people starting fires that were fishing from shore.
We ended up keeping 3 fish, deep fried them along with some potatoes for “fish and chips”
This week will be full of fishing as well, i have quite a few friends wanting to go. I got a few different lures and things to try out just for fun tomorrow.
They were actually pretty good sized whities, they were real fat. I got into a pretty good sized school, you could see two of them swiping at my lures back and fourth as i drug it in. Best day i’ve had out there so far, and the fiance had alot of fun.
The sish was really good. I was a little skeptical at first but they were real nice and flaky.
I caught upwards of 100 today actually. What a good day, both thumbs have a good case of bass thumb. Well i guess I am done fishing it for a bit. We did catch a 2lb WB today, put up a decent fight. Most of the day was just catching. We tried a bunch of different lures, found some really good ones i didnt really expect to work well, but theyre performing better then my original weapon of choice!!!
