Hey gang, I will be off the boards Friday and Saturday. Gotta take care of some fambly visitin’ in Idaho. Didn’t make it up for our annual Memorial day stuff this year and must make up for it. Two surviving aunts and uncles to see, before it is too late. No tackle on this trip.
You kids behave while I’m gone now. Well…I guess that is too much to expect. Just don’t burn the house down.

Hey Michael, some of our older relatives are still up in Salmon area. I haven’t been there for nearly 25 years.
We still have other relatives in the Roberts area too. That is close to Menan, Rigby, ID Falls. He might be making both areas.
There are some others near Pokymons territory in Pocatello.

Once the rod tip is broken off, it then becomes a sharp object.
Sharp objects and floatation devices don’t mix.
…lol… so broken rod tips and hooks are not good for tubes.. got it.. lol..

Hey Gang, made it back alive. Had a long ride and a good time. Didn’t take any tackle this trip but planning a return (longer) stay in late September for some serious fishing.
Had a great lunch at a little landmark motel/restaurant in Mackay, Idaho…the Bear Bottom Inn. See attached picture.
After lunch we drove up to the old defunct Mackay Mines. Love old mines and rummaging through tailings piles for rock specimens. Here’s a couple of pics of that part of the trip.
Got in some good visiting and catching up with several family members. Glad we made the trip.
