Started fishing at 6:30 am., nice and cool, its about time. I start shooting a dock in 10 foot of water with a 1/32 oz.
jig with BG Outlaw Special. Slowly picked off 7 nice crappie here, including my best at just short of 14 in. moved on to a deep
structure in 36 fow, the crappie were suspended in 15-20 fow. I caught 7 more keeper sized crappie here. From here on
I stayed on docks in the 10-15 feet deep range, with the 1/32 oz. jigs. Action was slow but I could catch a few. At 11:30
I had 30 keeper crappie on the clicker. In my last 3 hours I caught 5 keepers, and they came off bridge supports. water
temps were from 83 -85 degrees. If temps keep dropping, the crappie should really pick up in the next few weeks.
I finished with 35 keeper crappie, all released. Saw tons of small minnows around docks.
