the Wolftever Kid, Chickamauga, Crappie, 10/21/11, Solo

Hit the water at 7:30.I wore a full gore-tex outfit for several hours. The cold is here, I love
it. The bite was good for the first couple of hours, I caught em deep early. A dropoff from 10-15
feet deep, gave me my first 15 keepers. I was throwing a 1/16 oz. with BG Outlaw Special. The bite
would come from 10-12 feet. I hit docks for the next couple of hours, with bite still good and nice crappie.
The rest of the day I used 1/32 oz. jigs and the Outlaw S. and Sunrise. I caught at least 15-20 crappie
at 13 in or better, but none at 14. The bigger fish are moving up! The docks at 10 feet deep or less
were the hot spots, with aggressive bites. From 10- 12:00, action was slow, then it turned back on , and
was steady for the next couple of hours. The water was back up a foot, from my last trip. I quit at 3:30,
and finished with 55 keeper crappie. The weather finally got to t-shirt and shorts temps, but grab your hoodie
for a long run.
