David and I started fishing at 6:30 am.We steadily picked off crappie thru the day with the 1/16 oz. jig. We <br />fished all types of structure, bridges, docks,blowdowns and verticle structure. The shallow fish I have been<br />catching is fading, giving way to a deeper bite. Most of our crappie were caught in 15-25 fow. Outlaw Special,<br />still great. David killed with BG Pearl and Albino Shad. I caught 3 crappie 14 in. or better. 2 on back to back<br />casts, a 14 1/4 and a 15 in. crappie. The 14 in. and plus were my #24,#25, and #26th of the year. Talked to Steve<br />and Diana, they were catching catfish on peperoni. I think I saw Steve eating most of the bait. Diana had caught a 19<br />pound blue. The weekend craziness finally wore us down, we quit at 2:30. We had plenty of quality crappie, big and healthy.<br />We finished with 63 keeper crappie.All released.
