Went to the Berry today. The temp. started at 4 degrees then move into the 20’s soon, it was clear and SUNNY. Luckly we stop at the 7-11 in Heber and bought some sun screen. We shed off our coats by 10:00 am. A great day to be out on the ice fishing.
Ice conditions were excellent for walking. We started near the marina, not much action the first hour. Packed up and move more out west of the marina. The bite was a little better. I ended up with four fish. My other two buddies got one. By 11:00 the bite quit and we went home at noon.

Nice. I love those kind of days. I haven’t fished strawberry since I was a little kid. But I’ll be headed there when the ice is gone. Do you know about when the ice melts there?
You’re welcome to follow us (leaving SLC at 5:15 AM). We will likely be heading out from The Strawberry Marina (unless my fellow fishing buddies have a better plan).
