just wondering how the fishing was on strawberry

ice was if you can still get on it. was thinking about

I fished at Chicken Creek East on Monday and Tuesday and at the Ladders Yesterday. The fishing was a bit slow. I got 6 on Monday (all after 1:00 PM) only 3 on Tuesday, and 4 yesterday. The largest of the 3 days was 22.5 inches. Monday weather was snow and wind, Tuesday was sunny with high winds (brrrrr), yesterday was sunny with no wind (sunburn), but it was well below 0 degrees when I got to the Ladders at about 7:30 AM.
The ice is still very thick (over 24 inches), but it is relatively soft (it is mostly frozen snow and slush). The top was solid with no slush anywhere I went. You should be OK with snowmobiles, and you would probably be OK with 4-wheelers right now too. The parking lots at CCE and the Ladders were plowed yesterday morning. It is still winter up there!
[indent]Several of us are planning a 4a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday morning fishing trip and I was planning to fish the Ladders. Can you tell where at the Ladders you were fishing, how deep and with what? Thanks.
