Arrived at the Marina @ 8:00 but there was only about 1-1/2" of ice. Didn’t dare chance it as I was alone.
Drove over to Soldier Creek side after passing a tent city at Chicken Creek East.
Fishing was a little slow. Only caught about 16 rainbows, mostly 10-12" and one @ 17". The ice was about 4" thick and turned into an absolute slush monster in the afternoon.
Almost wished I would have joined the tent city at CCE as I have heard it was a hot place to be today.
Guess I’ll try the Berry again next week hopefully with thicker ice.

Thanks for the report. I hope to be out at the berry on Saturday with my sons. i have never fished CCE so it will be a new experience for me. I have fished the soldier creek side and renegade one or twice.

Didn’t see many at the marina but I left there shortly after 8:00 AM.
The ice was just too thin for me to give it a shot. There was one tent out there when I first got there but by the time I got my sled unloaded and headed for the ice they were back in the parking lot saying “don’t do it”
Probably head back up there on Saturday…fingers crossed[;)]

There was about 5 inches at the marina today and a temp of 12 degrees when we left at 3:30. No wind and all sun
Were you in the mini van? I was in the expedition and i think we talked.
Yep, that was me in my wife’s mini van. I really need to get me a truck or SUV but right now I have to use what I can to hit the ice.
How did you guys do and where did you end up going?
I hit the SC side and did ok, but not as good as I had hoped.
Going to try the Berry again in the morning.

We fished off the ramp. Caught 25 in 6 hours. Headed back Sunday.
