I’m thinking of planning another steelhead trip either this next weekend or the second weekend of February. I fished the Salmon earlier in the winter with great results and am looking for a report for anyone that’s been up that way recently. Also, I plan on making a trip to the Clearwater sometime this winter or spring for the B runners but haven’t heard how that’s been going either. Anybody have any steelhead reports of any kind? Thanks!
I tried the North Fork of the Clearwater on monday just for the morning, didn’t even get a nibble. I talked to one guy that had caught one, but that was the only success that I heard of. I did hear a good report from a kid at wallmart on the Grande Ronde, but those will be A runs too. Hopefully things pick up soon!
i heard they are catching fish bellow shoupe off of the shelf ice. i will be there next sunday for a day trip so i will make a full report afterwords this is the trip that i base the rest of my steelhead season off of if its good i wont be doing anything else but driving to salmon every weekend but if its bad i will wait 2 to 3 weeks to check it again, LETS GO CHROMERS!!!

I have a friend that walked downstream from corn creek-one-two miles…they landed 10. fished all day. Another group that was with them stayed at corn creek and didn’t touch one. That was last Saturday.
iron did he tell you much about the shore ice conditions, also how was the weather. i am dying to get down there but hate to drive that far without much info.
so im not gonna make it up to salmon this weekend my boss decided it was the weekend to finally have our christmas party and i cant miss it. so next weekend i will head to owl creek to see what damage i can do.
