Starvation ice on

Made the run to Starvation today. Got there about 8:30. A late start for us. Lake seems to be caped. We fished by the bridge in about 50 feet of water. Caught some perch first thing and then nothing. Moved around a bit and tried to find more fish but couldn’t. The perch were all 10 to 11 inches and fat. Ice is a good 4 inches thick but gets thinner as you go towards to Strawberry inlet. Temps were cold and ice is still being formed. A little slush in some spots. Met up with FOD and his dogs. It was a good day and nice to meet a fellow BFT’r. As we drove home we looked over Strawberry. They haven’t plowed the roads into The Ladders, Chicken Creek East or West. It was 12 degrees as we came home. Up from a minus 11 as we passed in the morning. No sign of anyone having tried to get to the lake from this side. I am sure the ice is safe just need someplace to park.
